Development of the sensor that allows size-selective detection of the target
molecule and elucidation of its mechanism
When platinum nanoparticles that accelerate oxidation reaction of alcohol
are introduced into nanopores of nanohoneycomb diamond,
difference depending on the molecular size of alcohol relating oxidation
reaction is observed in depth (reaction area toward alcohol oxidation)
of molecules penetrating into nanopores.
It indicates that reaction activity of alcohol oxidation can be controlled
by pore geometric structure, depending on molecular sizes.
